Introduction

                                                                           ADAM

The Paris Pact brochure - updated in September 2016 and now also available in Russian - provides key facts on the Paris Pact process with its two dimensions of the partnership and UNODC's global programme, and the Vienna Declaration with its four pillars which functions as the Initiative's road map during Phase IV.

The four pillars of the Vienna Declaration, endorsed by Paris Pact partners as main areas for strengthened cooperation, are the following:
ADAM

I.   strengthening and implementing regional initiatives;
II.  detecting and blocking financial flows linked to illicit traffic in opiates;
III. preventing the diversion of precursor chemicals used in illicit opiates manufacturing in Afghanistan; and
IV. reducing drug abuse and dependence through a comprehensive approach

ADAM is aligned to the four themes of the Vienna Declaration and aims to present all available information in an intuitively structured way following the colour and icon attributed to each pillar. With the help of these icons, pillar-related information can easily be identified across ADAM. With these icons you can access meeting information, expert recommendations, technical assistance projects, specific project activities, etc. in support of the respective Vienna Declaration pillar.
